Reed and Heather's Wedding Cake: Alyson's Orchard, Walpole, NH 8/27/11 Cute story. Reed proposed by hiding the engagement ring in a strawberry dessert so they designed their cake with little alpine sugar strawberries and white sugar roses then asked me to make a topper for them in the shape of a strawberry couple in their wedding attire.

Birch Bark Cake with sugar leaves, acorns, bitter sweet and twigs. Ideas in Bloom Florists of New Boston decorated the outdoor chapel beautifully, and crafted bouquets for the wedding party.

Deep Purple Sugar Roses, white calla lilies with lilac centers.
Congratulations Beth & Rama. Married 11-11-11
at Alyson's Orchard in Walpole. Cake was designed after their wedding invitations. Bottom tier is dark chocolate fudge filled with orange accented buttercream (Chocolate Susan - after the bride who suggested it). Middle Tier is Lemon cake, drizzled with fresh lemon, filled with seedless raspberry jam and lemon filling. Top tier is pink champagne filled with raspberry. Photo of this cake at the top of the page was the mockup I made for the couple's approval. This photo shows the actual cake, on a base the bride provided. Thank you Beth, your mockup was a huge hit at a recent bridal show!!!

The Garden State Cake Show. Chosen to do a live mini cake challenge with Food Network Greats Zane Beg of The Sweet Life in Anandale, VA and Wayne Steinkopf of Swank Cakes. And yes, my face stayed red for over an hour! What a Day!
I got to "direct" the challenge & select the design.
Garden State Show Display Cake. Twisted diamonds, fantasy flowers, royal icing beads, lacy scrolls and something new called billowing (puffs of sugar fabric - so cool).
